Description
Damascus is a rose soliflore that unveils a delicate tapestry of rose, where watery petals entwine with honeyed, herbaceous and smoky greens, balsams and resins and whispers of jasmine and oud. You will find almost all the rose facets in it – toned down top lemony, minty, herbaceous and fruity notes, honey, balsamic, incensy, and softly alluring (read musky). To achieve this, I have used 5 rose oils and absolutes from different regions and species.
It has a large dose of a green jasmine that is less indolic. It and the ouds (Papua Oud 2024, Khlong Yai 2017, Arakan Classic 2024 and a few more!) add this gentle coumarin-inflected herbaceous, balsamic and incense note. They are mainly here to embellish the rose accord, not to shout their presence.
There is a silvery ambergris hums beneath doing magic. In the dry down, Damascus becomes an exquisite olfactory symphony of ethereal rose incense with soft and sweet musks, and balsamic incense and a graceful Indo-Malay oudy and a subtly sweet and woody sandal.”
The aroma of Blooming Roses will make you feel you’re walking in the streets of Damascus, with Blooming Damask roses around, for which Damascus is well known for.

Rashed Chowdhary, Dubai –
Bouquet of roses from different regions, each adding its own nuance…
Russian(Rosa Gallica) is deep and velvety…..
Moldovan Rose has a bright, dewy freshness…
Ward Istanbuli is lush and honeyed…
Kashani Rose is soft and slightly fruity….
and Ruh Al Ward is an intense, distilled rose oil…
All nuances stitched with green merouki, and manuka honey make this attar to die for kindda attar ..
It has silky creamy and salty dry down perhaps from SQ vintage sandal and ambegris he uses ..
To me it’s a modern scent ..
But all in all it’s a treat for all the rose lovers ..
